My Friendship Bracelets
Recently, I’ve been obsessed with making Friendship Bracelets. I’m not sure what the actual name for these are, but they are often associated with summer camps, where you could spend hours on end making them. Of course, as the name suggests, they are meant to be given to friends, but it’s so hard to part with them after an hour of tying the knots over and over to create them!
I usually do these in about 45 minutes, while listening to music or watching TV. I made the 2 on my wrist while watching Karate Kid. I usually don’t like watching movies, but Karate Kid is a classic, although I was sad to watch the original instead of the remake, since I grew up watching the remake. Although, the plot is still the same, so it’s not like I missed out on very much. The original Karate Kid came out in 1984, so some of the songs on the soundtrack like You’re the Best and Young Hearts give a hardcore 80’s feel.
The 2 bracelets on the right were made for my friend Cindy, who lives in Malaysia, but I’m not sure I’ll be able to send them to her because international shipping is insanely expensive! My jaw honestly dropped when I saw the cheapest shipping price was $38. Hopefully she can come visit me in person and then I could see her and give her the bracelets. Perhaps I can upload a short video of me making a bracelet next week…until then, talk to you next week!
